Anyone tried either advertising or monetizing their site with http://cornerpeelad.com/? Seems like a pretty nifty script. Only charging $25 as well. Also, does anyone know if you need flash to make the advertisements?

    edit: (its not my site)

I doubt you need to know flash, they probably have an order form somewhere that creates it dynamically... Maybe?

Nice idea though, I don't really like the flash part, especially for advertising.

No, I have not tried it yet, but I sure like it. Unobtrusive advertising. Maybe start a network, like text-link-ads for cornerpeelads?

Definitely less annoying than pop-ups, but I'd prefer it without the flash. Perhaps it could be done with some sort of ajax technique?

Yahoo did corner peel ads for a while. There MUST be a reason I haven't seen one there in a long time :)

Yeah this is an old idea. I saw one a while ago that was VERY intrusive. It took up a huge chunk of the top right corner and was animated and extremely ugly.

Could be a cool concept for a network but I dont see the point in buying it for my own site to sell ads.

its nice but not worth $25 !! per domain.
something like this should (might) be available for free or 2 bucks.

I think its less obtrusive than an animated 468x60 ad banner.

Im going to agree with the flash... and hopefully someone can whip something up in ajax.
