I'm looking to use Press Releases as part of our SEO strategy and to gain traffic to the site. I'm not looking for miracles and don't want to spam crap to loads of PR sites. I'm thinking that the best idea will be to work with a small number of good quality ones and post really good content to it. Just wanted to know what everyone elses strategy was...How many do you deal with when you've got some news you want to get out. Do you just send it to one PR site every time or re word it slightly and send to a handful or do you alternate them between the ones you think are the best? Would like to hear your reasoning for what you do as well.
I usually submit towards 20 PR sites. I make sure that all of my Press-Releases are spinned but dont let down on quality.
I'm just using PRWEB and PRBUZZ to help me submit the press release to a big list which they have. But not with promise that all press release site will approve your news if it not newsworthy enough . So far it still help in my SEO alot espeacially when my press release able to show on top site like yahoo news and google news .
Press releases are not really good SEO. Even better sites like PRWEB and PRNEWSWIRE have little to no effect. Other PR sites from other sites are pretty bad and Google automatically notes them as spam. Sites like PRweb are better just because their PRs are filtered properly but still has some spam.
