I am interested in trying to get traffic by press releases, I never tryed this method before.
Could someone here that is familiar with this kind of advertising give me the best press releases site?

    and

How exactly do you use this method for traffic?, I'm guessing that you just write a press release and leave your hard link in it, right?

I use prweb.com with pretty solid results.

Press Releases are not like advertising. There is a bit of an art and a science to it as the press release needs to be written as more of a news story. So you want to avoid writing a blatant ad. Instead focus on writing something that is news worthy about your business. You will find a LOT of tips on prweb.com and I recommend taking the time to review them before you jump in.

Another site to look in to would be thatprguy.com.

(I am not an affiliate of either site)

Press releases are good for a few reasons. One, when they are released, you get the initial rush of traffic. Second, they provide some legitimacy for you. People say "Wow, they have a press release". Three, they can help you rank in the search engines on keywords. Fourth, if you put a link in there, it is some more link juice coming to your site which also helps with search results.

Like trafficwave said, it is not an ad. You need to think as though it is something that could be picked up by a journalist and placed in their publication. Since news publications "are supposed to be objective", you have to take that into consideration when writing these.

Opening paragraph is your lead. Use the who, what, when, where, why, how if you can. Most of the meat of the release should be in that paragraph.

    Good luck!

I have written Press Releases for my own websites and can write them for others. But, I would recommend that you write them yourself. Almost every website has a story behind it, and really thats what the Press Release is.

For example, I created SpicaCasts.com because my daughter had hip dysplasia when she was born and had to wear a Spica Cast for 3 months. There was little information abouti t on the internet at the time so I thought it desevered a blog. I wrote about that in my Press Release from a 3rd person point of view.

I got pretty good results but didn't use the paid service of PRweb. Many people (such as above) swear by it so you might look into it.

Use PrWeb but one of their paid services. They work if you have something unique.
