I'm wondering if this is the right place to post. Looking for someone to write a press release or knows what is a good place to find writers for press release. Every single one i see online charges about $250-$300 which is a bit pricy.

Actually that price range is pretty decent for someone actually qualified in the field. I currently charge $179, and I'm charging very much on the low end of PR professionals (have a degree in the field, run a PR firm, and have more than my fair share of experience). If you want a truly professional release done, you can find the details at www.jhmattern.com. The cheap press release writers you'll usually see advertising all over places like DP generally have no qualifications, not too much experience (at least in getting real media coverage), and more than a handful don't even know what a press release really is (they just write a generic article and slap it into a template, or they turn out an over-hyped advertorial that makes your company look like a joke). What you go with depends on how serious you are about using PR to publicize your business or website. There are only a few others here I know of that are qualified in this area, and they're not generally going to be in that $50 and below crowd you'll find a lot of here. If you really want to save money, try writing your first one yourself. There are plenty of free resources and templates to help you, including some that I've posted over at www.FreePressReleaseWriting.com.
