guys, Pl answer me the difference between press release and article writing. Im getting very confused in writing both of them and cant make out the difference.
Press Release should be a message or announcement to public regarding product or offers or services. But Article need not to be an announcement, it is simple contents about what you wish to write.
It depends on what you mean by press release. If you use news worthy sites and have Google or Yahoo syndication your press release should bring more traffic and pick up more backlinks than Article submissions. The best advice would be to use both. Thanks Brian
Press release is a written statement for announcing something new on the website which is submitted on different press relent sites for publicity. For example, if we have a website that has different software products. So if there is any updation in features, new version release, some other important updations on website. All this information is written in form of small statement to submit to various press release sites. This would definitely help the respective users of that website to remain update about any change that is minor or major. Press release is only submitted once when needed. Now if we talk about articles, it is Writing on a specific topic or subject found in a journal, periodical, magazine, or newspapers etc. These topics are then submitted on different good quality article sites like ezinearticles.com. These are not any news but a general writing on any topic. These can be submitted regularly with different topics.
Article is written on any topic.. either it is a product, service, interest, or anything you like to.. but press release is announcement about services or products or news from any company. press release will improve your site's brand name and improve your sites quality. article will give you only backlinks and visitors but it won't give you much exposure then press release... got it?
Article writing can be in written to give informative contents to the viewers. where as press release is written to give a news worthy content. Also press release tends to be much longer than a normal article.Also press can be syndicated to many sites on the internet thus spreading your content over the net with your link on it.
press release is something to entice the reader and this is about your website promotions and freebies, it's a way how you will get their interest,while by article is like throwing information based on your product and services with the use of your kws.
both have different effect but most important thing is that use fresh and informative content, but i seen in free PR site not give anchor text links except some low pr site, but it's more depends on syndication if you pr or article good syndicate you got more traffic!!!
An article means information about the topic that you wish to publish. Whereas Press release means the announcement about something new related to your company or website. Suppose if your company is going to launch a new product than you may write a press release related to that so that the audience gets aware of that. Or if there is some modification that you are going to undertake then you may let your customer know about it through it.
press release is not for talking about you and your business but about announcing something newsworthy. You write press release from the points of views of journalists who are not interested in your business but ONLY in news story that you are providing them...you provide them news and they'll provide you traffic....
