http://www.prlog.org/ is free, I wouldn't pay for publishing of press releases, for writing them yes, but not for publishing them ;-) SY

I would also not pay for PR submission but in some cases when I would see tons of visitors coming to my website, then I won't mind paying $50-100 for that; may be $340 too.

There are few PR sites (paid) that directly shows your PR in Google news and you can get 2000+ visitors instantly within hours.

So paying or not paying, it all depends on what we are focusing at.

    Hope this helps.

24-7pressrelease.com, prlog.org and free-press-release.com are all good and offer free links.

You can pay free-press-release.com around $30 for a customised release with anchor text which will get good distribution if the news is "newsworthy"

Wow, $340 seems very steep. I would vote no on this one.

Don't waste much money like that for a PR submit when you can't sure about the benefits it can bring back to you.
