To market my services I think I am in need of a press release. Does anyone know how to properly submit a press release or is anyone offering press release services?

    thank you

    -Steven

I specialize in online PR. I offer some distribution tips here, and a template you can use here if you'd like to go it alone.

tidusyuna - The writing of the release isn't all that different. You just wouldn't have the added concerns of links and keywords. Ideally, your release should be targeting BOTH online and offline coverage. As for distributing it, you would either use a service (just like you do for online distribution - for example, a client of mine is currently trying www.massmediadistribution.com for this) or you would do it manually (again, the same as online) - you find the correct reporters or editors (covering the most relevant beat) in the publications you're trying to target. You find out how they prefer to receive releases (and if you're smart, you also check on things like their deadlines so you can work around them). Then you just send them over (if via email, usually with a short intro / cover).

JHMattern - Thank you for your good posts. I am new here, but I recognize your name from your own sites and you provide a lot of great information, especially for people who are new to online marketing/publicity.
