Press Release on 1st page of Google News or refund

My review:

Last night after getting the "OK" of being able to approve my press release i ordered service. This morning before work i had an email with the article.. it looked good and i approved it as is.

3 hours later i got an email saying the order was completed.

I went to see myself and i was in fact on the first page of google news for my term.

its been almost a full day since the article was posted and i can track some 101 people that have come to my site from the press release. i did a cat | grep for the referal url, outputed it to file, then wc -l shows 101.

I also have had one purchase on my site today (i sell a product).

While its impossible for me to know where that purchase came from , i am very happy with the service.

well, that is my problem, traffic is not there, but this is because of my keywords. the question is who uses google news to find the latest articles about his niche? I dont use it! I just wanted to see the effect of this + the backlinks which are generated.

 

The amount of traffic does depend on your keywords, as indicated by realized's review, where he had over 100 in the first day. It is similar to natual search in that respect. What i have found with lower volume keywords is that you tend to find, as the pr gets picked up by other websites through the google network, traffic does start to arrive and with the benefits of the additional backlinks. But it can take a little time. Press releases are considered a excellent way to provide exposure for websites and services, which is why many companies regularly submit them.
