Hi, I am planning on issuing a press release for an Ebay auction that I will be having invovling a nice domain name that I have. What is the best option for me? I am willing to spend a bit of money on this.

Don't waste your money. It's not newsworthy. Spend time and money on other marketing methods. Unless you have a domain worth hundreds of thousands minimum, it's not news and a press release isn't appropriate. Even then I wouldn't say it's newsworthy unless it was a full site/company being sold (well known), or somehow extremely relevant to some major news in the world.

JH is right- buy her a beer :)

Sedo, sitepoint etc are MUCH better marketplaces to sell...
PR are not usually neccessary..just cross link your auctions on the domain sales threads/boards and you will generate ample traffic (more provided you have something valueable to sell )

    G'luck

Thanks..thats a good idea to cross link the auction details in the message boards...can you please let me know which boards I should post on? So far this is the only message board that I know of for domain sales.
