I'll list the top guys so far (most Democratic candidates have not been released for compilation yet!): 3rd Place: Fred Thompson -- $20,398 2nd Place: John McCain -- $21,358 1st Place: Ron Paul -- $36,171.72 Full data can be found here: http://www.jfletch.com/military_q3.zip Compiled using the fundraising reports located here, newly released today: http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2007/Q3/ The contained spreadsheet gives a bit more information on the exact rules I used to discern what counts as a military donation. Looks like Ron Paul is the clear favorite for the second straight quarter.
Yea, I've been busy for a few hours now, combing through this boring data. Also note that McCain only has $3.5M on hand, but also has $1.7M in debt. Romney has $9.8M on hand by loaning himself another $8.5M. The only candidates substantially raising money and still having some left are Guiliani and Thompson, and they aren't THAT far ahead.
the best thing Ron Paul has is his supporters i bet they'll have the best turn out i wont be surprised at a 2 or even 3 times better than the rest of candidates
If you want a good laugh, check out Alan Keyes #s. He's campaigning to pay off 10 years of debts by filing 5 or 6 reports. Remember folks, the campaign still has a long way to go and needs support!
We all know that "Insane McCain" has overplayed his hand by a distance looking at them stats. Romney is not very far behind him too.
Romney is personally wealthy, he can spend as much as he likes of his (presidentially) limitless fortune. But yeah, he wastes a lot of money.
