Since Huckabee is the mainstream flavor of the week...

    More here:

What is wrong with these people?

I wonder what Francis of Assisi would say.

That's fucked up, but just like Romney's faith, I don't think it should have any bearing on the election (unless there is somehow a link to old man Huckabee getting his son off the hook). Concentrate on the issues people not the propaganda and the bullshit.

EDIT: Plus, there are a lot more important reasons not to like Huckabee besides a crazy son.

I knew about this weeks ago, and can proudly say, I did not post it first. :)

It's not relevant to Mike Huckabee's campaign but it is interesting trivia.

Agreed I'd be mad if the daily kos bashed my candidate based on what his son did.

Like I've said in the passed, daily kos = trash.

Personally, I believe this does look bad for Mike Huckabee. First of all, it makes me suspicious of what kind of childhood david had. How many 17 yr olds are so disturbed that they hang a dog by a tree, stone him and slit his throat? Let's say for a minute he was not abused as a child and Mike Huckabee was a great dad and role model. How about how david huckabee admitted he did it, yet the police were not concerned? Any other persons kid, and they would be in major trouble. I have a really hard time believing Mike did not bail him out. I have read statements Mike made about the incident, and could not find any remorse about the dog. He was just pissed that the media reported it. Whoops, here is david huckabee in trouble again. He brought a loaded gun through airport security. But he said it shouldn't affect his father's presidential campaign.

I understand that, however IMHO family should be off limits when it comes to elections, politics, etc.
If you can prove the kid did it because he had a horrible upbringing, or his dad pulled some strings to get him off, something it would be a different story. Until then though it's nothing more than attacking someone for a family member and bringing a family member into the process.

Personally, I do look at the family. It does not define the candidate, but it can be an indicator. But that's just my opinion...

I will say one thing that will is a little concerning about this. Huckabee has had a lot of privilege as a Governor. I don't like someone whose family gets away with criminal acts, possibly because who his daddy is.

Reminds me too much of our current POTUS.

I do agree on that 100%

I guess I just don't know enough about it, if it could possibly be connected back that the kid got off because of who his daddy was, or that his daddy did something, that would be a different story.

I love the internet because people would never have been able to turn up all this stuff on the candidates 20 years ago. Makes you wonder how past elections might have been changed, if everyone's past was an open book.

That's why this RP Revolution is so important. We need to make sure that we get at least another 4 years of internet without regulation.

If the government starts taxing, and censoring, America is going to be "net retarded" compared to the rest of the world and set our economy and freedom back.

I've heard about the sins of the father... but I couldn't give a shite less about the sins of the son. Huck is a cross bearing, flag waving opportunist. He stinks pretty good without any help.
