President Obama Wins Debate With Republicans

Today President Obama won the debate with the Republicans (you can see it for yourself here.)

How did he do it? By answering the GOP's empty politically motivated talking points with facts & reason.

The truth is every single GOP talking point is a lie. All that it takes to defeat those lies is some "sunlight" and today President Obama did a great job of shining some light on those lies (and they quite quickly crumbled to dust.)

Hopefully for the sake of the future of the US, some voters were paying attention this exchange.

It's vital that people realize that the Republicans gave us the mess we have today and for the past year they've done everything they can do to stand in the way of President Obama's attempts to clean that mess up.

Instead of working with President Obama to fix this nation's problems they've done nothing but tell lies about Obama's agenda and play the political game of obstruction.

The Republicans are the enemy of the average American. They stand with big business while the average American loses their job and their health care.

For the sake of the future of this country, it's time to get off our asses and start fighting with President Obama. We have to make our Senators and our Congressmen do the right thing. Most of them won't do it on their own.

Wow, that was a horrible MSNBC spin on the facts. You need to watch the unbiased coverage Campbell did last night on CNN.

I was very impressed with how both Obama and the GOP handled it. Obama answered many questions well but he did spin a few such as the lobbyist working for him and the earmarks. But over all it was great seeing him talk about overdoing it in regards to playing politics that he said was the fault of both sides. He acknowledged problems of the GOP getting shut out as well as the probelms the GOP was causing with cut throat politics. He said they can help that problem by bringing leaders of both parties to meet regularly with Obama himself. So he provided a potential solution involving himself. Whether it was all talk and politics I have to give points to the politicians in this. I still think they're mostly power hungry wasteful pigs in spending but at least they dropped some of that to have a real discussion on camera about some problems and solutions like adults for once.

Of course seeing them take a step back from it being "red vs. blue" and try to work together isn't reflected in any way by people like Zibblu. With Zibblu, it has to be one is great the other is evil and one must win even if it's a matter of who finished their ice cream first. MSNBC is fine to watch as long as you have the brain capacity to understand 99% of the reporters are extremely liberal biased and don't even make an attempt to report fairly. Don't buy into the partisan hate or you're nothing but a party pawn.

It was a no loose appearance for Obama. Just showing up bumps his approval for a) appearance of bi-partisanship and b) the guts face his accusers. Given the lack of a downside, I'm really surprised he hasn't done it sooner.
