Present For My Mother

After decades of dreaming my mother finally got enough spare time to travel to what she believes to be a sacred destination. She'll be going to an Ashram in India for a few weeks.

I'd like to buy her a little something for encouragement perhaps, since this will possibly be quite a major turning point in her life. I'm not looking for anything pricey, rather a low cost item with sentimental value that embodies the true spirit of Indian immaterial teachings.

I am quite lost in this endeavor, so I'd appreciate some advice.

Hav eyou thought about visiting an 'alternative' bookstore. They usually have all kinds of things, at least it sounds like your mother is going down the spiritual path and I'm sure these bookstores would have all kinds of things (not just books) like crystals, cards, music, incense, candles, necklace meaning open/loving things.

Just some ideas mate, hope they help.
