Prepopulating a Wiki with Wikipedia content?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how I can copy quite a lot of WIkipedia content to prepopulate a wiki? It would be neccesary to remove the Wikipedia internal links & any other wikipedia markup that wouldn't work in the new Wiki? It would be on Mediawiki?

    Any help much appreciated

    Would that not mean just a lot of duplicate content though?
