Prepaid Card to verify Paypal?

    Hi Guys

    I was wondering if we can use a prepaid Gift Credit card from either HDFC or ICICI bank to verify our paypal accounts?

    The gift card of ICICI bank bears a visa logo as shown http://www.icicibank.com/pfsuser/cards/prepaidcards/giftcard/gift_home.htm

    Has anyone tried it ?

    its same as debit card.

    You can not use any other card accept credit card. And there is no harm using credit card with paypal and it is completely safe also.

    I'm not sure about these ones, but there are lots of other VCC (or prepaid DEBIT cards) that work with paypal well.

    If the bank will provide you details of your transactions (with transaction numbers), you can verify your pp acc with these cards too.

    You can't verify your Paypal account by any of the Debit Card offered by Indian Bank.. I am sure of that. I tried with my International Prepaid Debit Card.

    I am sure that a debit card by INDIAN bank does not work for verifying paypal.. only credit card does..

    What about the 'Visa Gold Debit Card of HDFC' ?? Can it be used to verify paypal ?

    why are you so sure in that?
    I know resellers who work with Indian banks.

    I think, it can be. I've just talked to person who works with HDFC.
    He works with VCC, however they are supplied from the same bank.

    But you'd better to contact the bank to be sure in that.

    To verify PayPal you have to use Credit Card only.

    However you can link a Pre-Paid MasterCard to Paypal to verify.

    Debit cards from India don't work with PayPal. You should try using a VCC or a Netsafe card from your HDFC bank.

    None of the debit card from India works with paypal payment processin.... so you cann't verify any indian debit cards to verify a paypal account.

    Netsafe VCC works fine for the paypal verification process. But you cann't add funds to paypal account using Netsafe VCC of HDFC because it can be used only one time. At the time paypal charge for verification, your VCC is expired.

    Any other ways of adding funds to paypal.....

    Hello all, i hav successfully verified my paypal using HDFC netsafe card Just now.. :)

    My question is: will this verification enough for lifetime? or any other formalities to be fulfilled

    I dont know the prepaid card that u state, in my ocuntry there has 4 type of prepaid card, 2 work and 2 dont work, i think u should try it and see the result, i dont think try will bring negatif for you
