Right now all Banks in India providing their account holders with a International Debit cum ATM card (in India most of the cards are powered by Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Cirrus etc). This card can be used almost any where in the world for shopping (at POS), withdraw money from the ATM's, Currency Exchange (except in Nepal and Bhutan). These cards use the bank account as a source (debit account nothing but prepaid). To reload the card, all we have to do is deposit the money in to the debit account and it is automatically loaded on to the card. At present, most of the bank cards (visa, visa electron, maestro) in India doesn't have ability to pay online (at foreign merchants). So, it's better to get a MasterCard powered debit card rather than VISA or Maestro. The following are the list of the banks, who issues the Mastercard powered prepaid debit card: Federal Bank Bank of Punjab (BOP) ICICI Bank Jammu & Kashmir Bank (JK Bank) Canara Bank Andhra Bank HDFC Bank Central Bank of India and you can find many other bank names here Thanks
