Premium .TEL domain name registration = mission imposible

Today is too late to pre-register .tel domain names for the "Landrush period" !

Premium .tel domains as Sex.tel and others you can imagine have been already registered and approved in the "Sunrise period" (and I dont know why a lot of them by the same enterprise/corporation) you can check what I'm talking about here http://sunrise.nic.tel/sunrise.cgi

If you think you can get a premium .tel in Landrush period by pre-registering @ anydomainregistrar.com you may know that they got a queue of requests and is very easy that there will be already 100 petitions before you, soooo in case anydomainregistrar.com were lucky to be the first to register such premium .tel, you will be out for sure (and very probably paying some fees).

The solution to this is not pre-registering and use only registrars that don't allow pre-registration, so you can have more posibilities on 3th Feb.

    Good luck everyone! :)

Why so? Lots of people prefer having preregistration?

    You dont get it...

Read again third paragraph, I mean today's too late to preregister because you'll have users before you in the queue.

Logically if you preregistered 1 month ago you have more chances.

The sunrise period is total bullshit. It's supposed to be for companies who want to register their own name before someone else gets it. How in hell is sex.tel tied to any company on earth?!

no...you don't get it. It doesn't matter if you register at the beginning or the end of the sunrise period. You will get the domain only at the end, after an auction where you compete with everybody that want that domain. As long as you have enough money you can buy any domain even now.

Was just going through the .tel website and it seems that the Landrush is going to start on the 3rd Feb. So it is not very late to apply for the .tel Domain. Even if you are late and you want to register the premium Domain which might have other buyers too, you will have to auction for it. So it is not too late.. Also if you loose in the auction and do not get the Domain, you get the money back..
