It's ONLY 666,666 Pageviews per day we need to get Currently with my 2websites I'm getting about 400.000 pageviews per day for now, So I guess eaven 1 person can get premium account
Yes, IF you can get ONE website to do that. And, again, getting the 20 million is no guarantee. Can anyone confirm also that it is the SITE that becomes premium, NOT the Adsense ID.
um.. sorry to burst a bubble here, but i believe its 20million impressions for 1 site.. not multiple sites. Pierce
And ONLY that site becomes the premium...doesn't mean everyone in the "group" moves to that level for their sites.
Not everyone with 20 million page views gets accepted. Premium is at the account level, not the site level.
I understand that. just an experiment to say that members of dp accomplished something great by getting a premium. im not talking a little site half assed to get something done. im talking about a project with heavy thought and time put into it to be a real success. that every memeber could be a part of it, helping out to say "hey, i was apart of that and look what we accomplished". -Tim
Unfortunately, I suspect that a lot of the people jumping in are thinking they will get their own premium status. How would earnings be divvied up among the participants? Will you accept the full burden of tax reporting and then disburse the funds? Just a few of the questions going through my mind on this. Not sure how many volunteers are thinking of this as an experiment but rather a way to increase their earnings somehow.
Then they should understand whats going on before they jump in. I agree with what you are saying though. these were just some ideas going through my head last night. nothing set in stone.
You better have a contract on paper from all participants for when things get ugly (the more people the higher the odds) im not a lawyer but its common sense or even better setup a limited company and sell share to whoever is interested! this way who ever buys more shares gets a bigger share of dividents, as a company you will have to pay less taxes and pay people for the work done as "part time" employees but yea dont underestimate that old human factor: greed
or even better setup a limited company and sell share to whoever is interested! this way who ever buys more shares gets a bigger share of dividents, as a company you will have to pay less taxes and pay people for the work done as "part time" employees [/QUOTE] Then only the richest members of the project get anything out of it.. I don't care for that idea. It should be divided up between all project members evenly not just the richest ones..
and how will you raise money for costs? 20million impressions on one site involves paying for a cluster of high end servers, what about advertising? what about the workload between members seriously if lets say 20 people come together and there are variying amounts of money willing to be spent, different ideas, ambitions and differing willingness to take risks, also leadership would be needed not to mention trust if you ignore any of the above you are naive
ive been involved in about 10 startups thus far, i know whats involved, both with legal, time, hardware etc i know w ]hat im getting into, and i know there are alot of things to look at when taking on a project sucha s this. but in my eyes, you gotta take a risk to get somewhere. I know alot of others feel the same way,..why not collaborate together and strive for the best?
@timallard you do sound like you do know what your getting yourself into but some of the people who posted in this thread really have to brushup on commerce101 or common sense for that matter whatever you do make sure its all on paper and minimise as much liability as possible
what if you have various niche sites, one with super high paying words and one with 1c clicks? How are you going to divide the income?
I think this is all planned for 1 site. As for earnings, maybe the money should go to a charity if you can't come up with a logical way to disburse the earnings to participating members.
I'm very intrigued by what may be able to be achieved. I'd like to be a part of it, depending on what is involved, what input is required (work? financial?) and what the final proposal looks like. I'm happy to promote, where I can (if I feel it's a worthy site, of course, not just pure MFA with little value, or anything that violates TOS.) I can also research and write content, depending on topic. I'd like to be kept up to date once you have definite ideas and things are getting close to being put in motion!
