I'm launching a paid subscription for my site.. I called it "Premium Member" with a VIP Chat area, but I don't like the names now.. I don't want the paid subscribers to seem like they are "better" or of higher status than other members on the board... it's not a status thing, it is just access to some extra downloads - data and software tools. What are some other names I could use? I am thinking like "Plus Member" or "Plus Subscriber" What do other people call the Paid Subscriptions ? Thanks, Eric
You could create 2 usergroups. 1 is "Silver Member" and the other is "Gold Member" Something like that.
The premium membership group on my forums are called "VIP" members. When posting news or information that might affect the regular / basic members or the VIP / Premium members, I use one of two names - but it means the same thing. When the basic members sign for a paid subscription, the description says the payment includes "X" number of days / months / years in the VIP group.
On my site it means they do not see the ads, they dont need to have a certain amount of posts to access the arcade and they have access to a hidden forum and a photo gallery (photobucket style)
you may call them "Elite Members". Or better yet, "Sponsored Members". It's not really payment, but a member is sponsoring perhaps a server cost.
