Server requirements: I have my own server which run a few sites, I would recommend taking the same server over as it would be much easier, then moving other sites you have. Its a great deal. $180 a month, QUAD CORE, 4GB RAM, Unlimited Bandwidth, Well known provider, not some dodgy host with bad uptime.

Plenty opportunity to boost revenue,

1 - Server specs are listed in the auction: I currently have Quad Core, 4GB RAM 1TB HDD Server with unlimited bandwidth. Site traffic is currently about 30-50GB per day. I have a few other sites on the server including a big arcade and everything runs smoothly. Fair bit of resources still available.

2 - Revenue details will be provide to bidders above the reserve price, it has taken me ages to find a nice mix of publishers and other means of monetising this type of site. So am not going to send this around to everyone.

3 - I will move the site to a new server, but it will not be recommended. As moving any site of this size if a slow process. But can be done if required.

I tried to access some indexed pages of the site (Like uploaded files detail pages), and for all it showed FILE NOT FOUND. Did anything happen to the database or anything similar?

And one more question, what is hosted on the server in general by users?

without providing any proof of revenue your auction will end worst than the first trade attempt abt the same site a high reserve price obligation needs a good proof of revenue

I delete files fairly regularly to keep the HDD's running fast and prevent them from filling up, You will get a message like that once files have been deleted. Either by running this "disk cleanup" which deleets all old unused files or when files expire. Different users have different file expiry times.

If you added another 1TB HDD you coul dincrease traffic quite a bit, as traffic increases as number of files increase.

 

Thanks for your words of wisdom but I will take my chances. 95% of the people who ask for proof of revenue dont have any intention of buying or even the funds to buy. They just farm peoples revenue sources and start their own sites. If you like the site, have the money make a bid then you can access you the deeper information and details you want ........
