Premier? Special Screening? How to get the passes?

    Alright, here's the story.

My girlfriend and I have broken up about 4 days ago. We already miss each other, etc. So Im assuming we'll be back together in a few days.

Anyway, we've, or rather, she's, been anticipating the release of Horton Hears a Who for months. She's just great like that.

What I want to do is score some passes to one of those early screenings that happen 2-3 weeks before the real deal. I remember my friend scored some for Van Helsing a long time ago, and we went.

    So a few questions.

    1. What exactly is it called? What would I Google?

    2. Where can I find them? Money is hardly an issue since she'll absolutely freak if I do this, which is worth just about everything to me.

ANY help is appreciated. I really want to get this done.

You want tickets to a pre screening?

It depends on the cinema and the film I think.

Some cinemas just sell tickets as if it's a normal showing on that day (or if you book in advance), usually if they do this they will have it somewhere on their website when each pre-screening is. Other cinemas they are more private, sometimes you have to win a competiton for them or be more than just an average joe to get in.
If it's not a very popular film then it should be much easier to get tickets to go see the pre-screening.

Plus this is just based on what I know from cinemas over here (UK), so i'm not sure if it's the same where you are.

I have gone advance screenings to a lot of movies, they are easiest to get from radio stations I find. A lot of the time you can just call them up and request any advance screening tix and they will set you up.

    Ah, beautiful.

I live in Canada, so I've no idea which stations to go for but I'll try some research.

Any Canadians around here to help out in that part?

I'd just go into your local cinema, ask them about it. I'm sure they must know something...
