    Hi,

Does anyone have experience with preferred position? I have been having trouble keeping my preferred position for the last 3 weeks as my keyword jumps up once my competition run out of their budget. Today I decided to use position preference but google are charging me more money every click for the same position.

does anyone know if there is a way to make this feature work for you or should I just go back to doing it myself?

Thank you for any thoughts and advice in advance!

    Olga

You should not designate a position preference unless you have tested all positions and found one which works particularly well for your campaign. Have you done so?

Do everything yourself, don't rely on tools.

Try to keep your good-performing keywords in top3, and the rest in top5.

^ Top 3, is that really the best position to be in for the good performers? I've always found when a phrase goes that high the amount of dud clicks far outweighs the business I get in?

    Thanks.
