Preferred background?

I'm pretty sure I know which way this will go but I want to make sure before I start changing things

I know neither of these are exciting and revolutionary I just want something that looks decent and won't scare away potential members

If you choose neither please share your thoughts on what WOULD make a good background for that forum skin

this style can be used in games/computers forums, not in 'that' forum xD

Its not looking attractive for gaming sites, use any attractive especially in light colors.

I chose a darker theme because that seems to be the general feel to the Halo 3 ODST trailers

Yes darker definitley. Halo is dark, either black and reddish, black and yellow-orangish, or black and greenish. NO light colors, that's weird. Though, I can't vote, because I don't see a difference in the background and skins at all. Though it looks fine.

 

don't like any of them, maybe should you go with a better skin for the forum, more lighting effect and colors would be great (but keep the dark style)
