Predicted PageRank

How much stock do you put into predicted pagerank???

For example, my site www.googoldir.com has a predicted pagerank of 5.02- according to www.seomastering.com/pagerank-prediction.php. It does have quite a few backlinks, so that is entirely possible...

Are there any prediction tools that are relatively accurate??

It is just a pipe dream so ignore it and move on with your life.

 

That tool it's quite accurate. But like they say on the description. The tool provides the real pagerank without penalties.
Penalties are usually done even for ads on the website.

 

All PageRank prediction tools are pretty much random number generators... I've got a site that came up 5.05 in the link above... I'd be willing to bet money that it's no where near there.

page rank is assigned according to the Google's algo as per the importance of webpage in the eyes of the SE.there are too many factors to decide the Page Rank..

Heh, mine came up as 4.92. Which could explain why its been stuck at 4 for so long even though people seem to like linking to it.

I don't build backlinks myself, people link to the site on their own.

How come a third party tool can assume or predict a website's upcoming page rank? Could you please tell me how that works?

 

Seems like bs. The only thing that can determine PR is Google, and as everyone should know they're quicker to penalize they give any type of benefit. Michelle was right in the beginning: Don't bank on anything predicting potential.

 

Your site's real PR is 1 and predicted PR is 5.02 - how its possible. I am sure that the site you have shared is not showing accurate PR result. So the site is not reliable I think.

 

It is just like going to a fortune teller that tell u that you are going to be rich and you do nothing but wait for money to drop. Conclusion is that you need to take action to increase your page rank.

 

My prediction is 5.21. That is good for me but i won't gonna to believe it because no one know what Google next update.
Is better to spend the time to put fresh and quality content on site and build some backlinks.

 

One of my sites is predicted to be 6.24, and has 4,372 backlinks on GWT and 1,463 on Alexa.

 

Well mate do not get confused, all PR predictors work on the same API and shows you about the same result, the API used is SeoMoz which returns your Domain mozRank, it is quite accurate but have a little to do with reality, which means if you have some links that Google see as spamy or if you have some problems with content Google simply lowers your PR, so don't get to exited SeoMoz is not a part of Google yet.
