Hi, I tried getting this solved on WordPress, but had no luck. Hoping someone here can help. I have been playng with WordPress for over a month now. I like it a lot and was thinking of using it for my entire site. However, something started to happen that I'm not sure how to fix. I found the following error happening under two conditions: 1. When I go to Word Press Admin Section, and press the link for "Word Press Plugin Directory" at the bottom I get the following error: Precondition Failed The precondition on the request for the URL /extend/plugins.php/ evaluated to false. 2. I have had some customers say when using a browser other then Explorer they get this error also. I went to my server host (Ipower) and asked for help and they really didn't show much interest in helping. Would anyone else have any feed back on this. I have been searching and trying to find a solution for a few weeks but getting no where. thanks steve p.s. my gut tells me it is related to my server in someway. if that is the case, may I ask that you be as precise as possible with your explanation. Ipower tech people seem to really struggle with anything but the basics. I found in the past I have to provide them detailed info to get something solved. however, it would be great if it could somehow be solved with your help and not rely on Ipower. thanks
Post this error on Wordpress support forum http://wordpress.org/support/ . They will better figure it out.
Do you happen to have the Bad Behavior plugin installed? If so remove it from your plugins directory and see if that fixes the problem.
I did post it on WordPress forum....no help....I don't have the bad behavior plugin. I even deactivated all my plugins for wordpress but the problem didn't go away.
Next I would try: 1) Removing all plugins from the plugins folder. (not just deactivating them if you only did that. 2) Reinstalling the wordpress files (but not the database so you keep your data)
tflight I'll give that a try...thanks for your quick reply. I may wial till tomorrow when I feel more fresh. I'll let you know how it turns out. cheers steve
