Okay so recently I asked if it was okay to have a single page site until I am am ready to release the proper thing, to which people said that was the way to go.

Okay so I have my one page site ready, it is optimised and has a comming soon message and what we are about etc etc.

Are you guys sure this pre seo will work because I heard that a site needs at least 3-5 pages to get indexed?

    Thanks

    B

Just link to your new site from any old site that is already being indexed and it will get spidered. Do not put under construction on your page and be sure your title and description are solid for your key terms.

thats not the case. a one page website will certainly become indexed. just give it some time. googlebot will get to it.

Google really doesn't like coming soon or underconstruction websites. That kind of leads me back to the sandbox post above. Sandbox is Google's way of determining if a website is going to be around for awhile. Google doesn't like websites that come and go easily flooding their indexes. Therefore the sandbox was implemented. Try and get some content on your pages. Having coming soon or underconstruction is seen as a stale website. Google certainly doesnt like that.

Hello - thanks for the replies.

So let me just explain this one page has part of an image "comming soon" but not as text that can be spidered.

Please confirm whether having an image as commoing soon is okay or not so that I can redesign the image to take out the comming soon part.

    Thnaks
