    Hello:

We are very excited to announce the pre-launch of REAL Weight Loss -- a new product for the Weight Loss Niche. The product is built around 3 easy, proven steps for losing and maintaining weight. The product also provides access to some online tools and some great bonus materials.

    Here are the details:

    75% Commission on $39.95

    Destination URL: RealWeightLossNow.net
    Landing Page Preview
Optional Landing Page w/Exit Pop up Preview
    Affiliate Center Preview

    Committed to Our Affiliates
We are 100% focused on providing affiliates everything they need to be successful selling REAL Weight Loss. We think our affiliate area is a good start and more robust than most. Please consider signing up as a Preferred Affiliate so we can stay in touch and so you know the moment we go live. We can also share updates about our affiliate program for REAL Weight Loss and upcoming You Can Do It! Guides products in other niches. You will NOT be spammed with auto-repy emails. We answer emails personally.

    Built for Conversions
Obviously there are no conversion stats to share but we do believe our page is fully optimized. It's streamlined, offer-driven, well-designed (in our opinion) and clear. We will be testing PPC the moment we are approved and will share the numbers as soon as they come in. Open to feedback, but, will hold it for a few weeks while we collect the data.

    Launch November 5th (or before)
The product will be submitted to ClickBank today. Based on that we expect to be live by November 5th (or sooner). If you are interested please set up your campaigns now. We are here to help in any way we can.

Let us know what you think.

Thanks for considering REAL Weight Loss.

    Hi there...

Although many people don't like short landing pages, I am big fan of them. However, it seems there is something missing here. Maybe pictures with before and after diet will work as well. That is just a hint what could fill this page and make it more appealing to the customer. And I would also recommend photos of people for the testimonials. I think the affiliates banners design is good.

On the other hand this is very competitive niche, and I wish you all the luck with this product.

centarec: Thanks much for the feedback. We are working on some more "visual" testimonials and will likely add them in the next few weeks.

The page is sparse intentionally. The simplicity of the page is definitely by design. In my personal experience, if you can make a sales flow super simple and lead a prospect through with blinders on (no distractions) they have a better propensity to convert. I've seen this in several industries. Either way, we will be constantly testing to ensure the highest converting page possible. Thanks on the banners!

Just curious if anyone had any additional thoughts or feedback...

Sort of surprised at how silent you all are :). Not sure if the silence is bad, good or a "waiting for conversion stats" sort of thing...

Open to any and all comments...

PM me for a review copy...

Ok..this is how it is best done, let me tell what to do if you want affiliates, do some testing first, do some promotions, and then come back here with some screenshots or vidoes of your results whether positive or negative, honesty is always appreciated.

Aint nothing worst than a vendor saying he has 1:12 conversions and when it is actually 1:112.

Affiliates need to know that your product converts before they spend money on creating campaigns, landing pages , PPC or whatever. So be patient.

No kidding, seems like CB publishing is the new thing... though I can't talk, hahaha.

I've been seeing a lot of weight loss products and I'm wondering how you're able to compete with all the big guys? This is perhaps the most competitive niche on the web and I just don't see how you could get any traffic with this much competition.

Weight Loss is a gigantic industry. One of the biggest. In the U.S. over 65% of adults are overweight. "Weight loss" related queries are always among the top searches on all the engines year after year.

There is more than enough opportunity for all in this niche. The players that know SEO and SEM (PPC) can make a big killing. People that know how to put great articles together can also do insanely well. There are literally hundreds of thousands of related topics and keywords on this subject, many of which are not as obvious as simply "weight loss". It's about being creative. We are working with our affiliates on crafting great articles that target these lower traffic keywords.

Additionally, we will compete in this niche because we believe we have an ownable, memorable brand position. We also have great people working with us (marketing, design and dev) and a great initial base of ambitious affiliates. We will also invest heavily in our product (first and foremost) and our affiliate center to ensure our brand gains traction.

Also, much of the competition happens at the product level. We feel strongly that affiliates that are promoting the more popular weight loss products on CB are probably tired of the intense competition that many of these high gravity Weight Loss products have. We want to be, and are ready to be, the alternative.

As a side note, we have invested a great deal of time and money on our product and our initial sales page and affiliate center (despite the simplistic appearance). While there is an amazing number of new products launched on CB and promoted here on DP, many of them are (total) crap IMO. REAL Weight Loss was not created overnight. I personally started planning this in January...

In next week I estimate more than 10 products/days...
After Jamie Lewis launched Digibizpro, everybody now can have own product. I am not sure, this one is one of them or not.. but the landing page is similar with the sample which I've ever seen.

You can see also launching of guitar chord in other room... look likes Digibizpro product...

To suggest my page was created with some crappy template system is an insult. Page was built from the ground up with one objective in mind...conversions. If you have some specific constructive feedback I am all ears and extremely open to it. Otherwise please take this discussion to a different thread.

If I were you I would be open to ANY suggestions/comments - all of them are good even if someone tells you that your design is crap. Probably if some dpers think this way its very likely that some of the potential customers will too.

I'm not stating that your design is not good but be open to ANYTHING, any feedback is good. The weight loss market is huge as you said, but copetition is huge as well. Countless seasoned publishers have launched their weight loss product just to fall the next day.

You said that the design was made with conversion in mind, therefore I assume that you have split tested your current design with others. If so, be sure to post the results of your conversion, it will help YOU in attracting affiliates and build credibility in your design. If you didnt tested you should, one can never know what converts and what does not without any proper testing.

    I hope my comments helps!

    Good Luck!

Thanks for your sensible and helpful post. As I stated, I AM open to any and all feedback. Please, fire away!!!

I do plan to split test in the next couple of weeks but I want to get a baseline of metrics on this single page first (keeping in mind I have the page with the pop up as well). I am starting an adwords campaign tomorrow and should have some data to share in the next several days.

Just as a point of reference, i have been in internet marketing for over 10 years. I used LPs to sell everything from credit cards to plasma tvs. Many conversion rules are universal and i tried to apply them here. Will it work for a weight loss product? We shall see. Regardless of what happens out of the gate i am confident I can optimize the page over time.

    Thanks again...

All: I have fully tested this and conversions are terrible. Back to the drawing board.

Here are my own thoughts, please let me know if you have any others?

    1) I think the dual brands of REAL Weight Loss and You Can Do it Guides is confusing, since You can Do It Guides is not well known. Thinking about going with just REAL Weight Loss.

    2) Need a stronger headline to suck people in. Getting rid of sick, tired, etc.

    3) Making the top section a letter from the author

    3) Need a order link higher up. Thinking about having a floating add to cart section in the right column that stays static as the users scrolls down.

    4) Price. Wonder if 39.95 is too much.

    5) Need more humans on the page. Perhaps bringing testimonials to the middle section, creating a module that people can click through to the next testimonial.

    6) Removing the option to enlarge image. Many people clicked on it, but, I dont know that it helped.

    7) i thought a shorter page would be fine, but, wonder if I should consider making it longer.

Anyway, I am humbled by this experience...and am not giving up...Product is good....Would love some thoughts...

I know exactly where you problem is.

Your sales letter is very bad. The overall pitch is bad.
It is not compelling, it doesn't grab your attention, create interest and desire.
You need to work on your sales letter. If you're unable to do that, hire a copywriter.

I've said these many times when people asked me for help:
You need to sell the idea.. not the product itself

The other points can have a minor impact on the page, so I don't believe you'll see any drastic changes by implementing them until you change the copy.

The copy is the key, that's what sells it to the buyer.

Your pitch needs to be redone.
Don't sell the product itself, sell the idea I've said this numerous times to people who asked me for advice.

What I mean is, don't start the pitch by presenting the features of the ebook. This way you're presenting the product, you should be presenting the idea of losing weight using your product. Pitch the idea of losing weight using the ebook, for example, you could create a story of how you were desperate and couldn't lose weight, and then you found a formula.. and developed this product. Connect to the customer on an emotional level. Show them you're just like them.

First grab their attention - a catchy headline does just that.

Create interest and create strong desire... convince them they need the product... at the end put a strong call of action.

Use some forward questions.. and forward pointers to make the customer want to go on and proceed reading the whole page.

You also need to make your sales letter congruent with the product itself. Currently it doesn't seem that way.
