Pre-holiday weekend slump?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Tearabite, May 25, 2007.

my traffic and earnings usually take a downturn on weekends and especially holidays. This week, starting on Wednesday I started seeing a decrease of about 10%-15% across all revenue streams (Adsense, YPn, Kontera, & Subscriptions) - traffic has remained roughly the same.

Is anyone else seeing this kind of pre-holiday weekend slump, or am i just 'special' ?

How can it be a slump if you say traffic is roughly the same?

I think a lot of advetisers turn off their campaigns for the long weekend.

Unusually low for me too. I hate fluctuation - I like nice, boring predictability.

This is quite obvious right in the business, not only in the internet - people spends more money in the rainy days :)

I've noticed a slight drop in traffic, though revenue has stayed the same.

After peaking in April, my traffic has lessened a little bit as we start to move into the summer doldrums.

Yeh it must have to do with recreations and sports on weekends. But some time patters are for the better such as an easter site during easter. Make sure to maximise profit during the time of the most traffic.

Well, a slight decrease in the summer months should be expected because of a combination of factors such as weather, school holidays, etc.
