Hi, i am integrating PayPal Pre-Approved Payments into my website and i am struggling to find an answer to a query i have. My users can make donations (pre approved pledges) to various Charity events, such as running a marathon. IF the marathon is ran, the API makes a call to processes all of the Pre Approved Payments (pledges), but what happens IF: A - the donator does not have any funds in their PayPal account B - the donator does not have any funds in their PayPal account but they have a credit card linked to their account C - the donator does not have any funds in their PayPal account but they have a bank account linked to their account Thanks in advance to any help you can give on this...
when the user doesnt have enough fund, the bank will deduct from the credit card / debit card / bank account. If the user doesnt link to their credit card / debit card / bank account, they will not able to send the money if the balance find is not enough
It will go to A and then B and then C. Although for the C, not all country supports it. And for most country, people use VCC to verify instead of CC. So, it is safe to assume that if the user doesn't have enough balance, the preapproved payment is canceled.
Ok thanks for your help guys... however let's say the payment falls back onto a credit card or bank account... will the funds be available straight away to the recipient of the funds or does the API need to wait and make the call again a few days later
