Here is our first test release search engine:

    http://www.dimensionethost.com/comet

What makes this different? Well for 1 IT IS NOT META SEARCH and also unlike any other search engine it does live crawling, so the more you search the more it knows about the web. Comments welcome, thanks!

Once again, this is not ready for prime time but is a Pre-Alpha test. Also once done how much would you pay for a copy of the script?

Congratulations, it is a really nice search engine. It is quite fast when you take into consideration that it does live crawling. However, I don't like how the results are presented, I hate the color combination.

    Yeah, It looks great now.

I was searching for "cars" and got the following error:

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/soapbath/public_html/comet/modules/l4.php on line 30
    Stopping, it exists!

It still worked anyway, but that error is kind of ugly.

Tvcokecan, I was talking to you. No big deal though, I just thought since I know someone who uses both soapbath and TVcokecan emails.

Ok just added a porn system. If a user searchs and finds a site to be adult content he can then click a button which warns other users. A example of this system in place is:

    ADULT LINK
    http://www.dimensionethost.com/comet/search3.php?s2=Pussy
    /ADULT LINK

Blue = No one has reported it.
Orange = A few users have reported this site
Red = Lots of users have reported this site

And I think this helps both adults and childern choose. I wont say the system it uses case it gets abused but never the less, lets say its pretty safe from abuse.

I like it a lot, but I didn't like the field of the search with the same color 'blue' is kind of hard to see what you typed in :)

Just got a PM asking what + + + + + + + + + + \ - is at the bottom of results page. + = Found another page via your search. - Could not find any new pages. So if you see lots of +'s we have found new results via your search to our spider.

Whats wrong with a meta engine? I'd hold surch.com against your engine anyday... I dont think you really know what you are talking about as the harnessing power of a proper meta is by far more powerful... its ability to search sort and index using multiple algs far exceeds relevance of a single crawler based engine... I also have my doubts about your engine. what alg are you using? Where are you hosting this because if it is a "true" crawler and not some fly by night engine you would have to have a server farm with thousands and thousands of servers just to run it not to mention the 1000's of TB drives you would need to store the data... I doubt you have any of these

First of all I agree Surch is a amazing meta search engine, what I ment by my statement is that it is not one of those scripts you buy, and tbh there is not many crawling search engines out there. Also no offence intended you don't know what I have. We are hosted in Equinix, also the method used means live crawling saves space till we get popular. You clearly dont know what you are talking about, next time please ask for more infomation. Oh and on the comment what alg we are using, I can't disclose that infomation, nor would any seach engine. And trust me, LOTS more to come that Meta search engines would not be able to do. (Such as, we shall be providing a API for meta search engines!)

Simple put: Some will love some will not, no one is forcing you to use it, and I did say
. If you want more info how the system works please send a SAE to

    GotScripts Ltd.
    London House
    Gravesend
    DA123AL
    United Kingdom

However your comments are valid questions and I hope I have helped you understand more on the subject.
