Can anyone appraise: KyleBrock7.com? I picked it up in an expired auction for reg fee and apparently it's a PR9 domain. Ive used all the major pr checking tools (dnscoop etc) and they all come back saying it's valid but im still unsure. According to dnscoop it has 498 backlinks, alexa rank of around 10 million and is valued at just short of $400. I regged it for traffic purposes. Im just looking for any second opinions???
I check it using Checkpagerank.net , and I got the result that the domain is forged, its go to youtube profile. please recheck it buddy.
something is "fishy" here - when I checked it out at http://www.sitetiki.com/KyleBrock7.com and click on the screen shot it goes right to wordpress.com and when I look it up under whois.org as well
"Fishy" is exactly what I was thinking, I have no idea why I regged it, to be honest its a good forge because it fooled me and im usually very cautious.
In other words, its a fake PR which can be obtained if a indexed domain is forwarding to a PR9 site...and hence it mirrors PR9 of the site to where it redirects. Appraising it? (you'd lose even the reg fee).
Definitely a fake. A PR of 2 or 3 or 4 may be possible and therefore able to fool people. However by claiming to have a PR9 I am surprised you fell for this as there are only a select few domains this high and this would certaintly not be one of them. Oh well, put it down as a lesson learned and hopefully some people reading this will know better if they come across something similar now.
Don't waste your money regging names just because it's got PR, reg names because they are actual quality names. Would you have regged the above name if it was a PR0?
Not even sure it is a PR anything. I had a look at the "history" and it doesn't seem to have anything at all acording to the way back when machine: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.KyleBrock7.com Don't feel bad - we all get hit at some point, its part of playing the game. Doc Croc.
I would never buy a domain because of it's PR. Today, PR changes from one day to the next. It's not 2005 anymore.
