Report it to ebay. If it's fake pr then he's clearly lying to the bidders which Ebay isn't too happy about.

Well.. I also think it's the bidder's duty to look that up him/her - self too... I mean, you don't bid/buy something that you don't ttrust?

    very simple,
Just google for backlink for the particular domain. if it is using 301 redirect, the backlink it will show should be of Original site.
    e.g.- http://www.google.com/search?source...006-09,GBSA:en&q=link:www.aroundtheblocks.com

    and

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GBSA,GBSA:2006-09,GBSA:en&q=link:www.blackboard.com/

    Shows the same results.
now how to know from which site it is stealing PR?
thats too simple, Google it using the domain name of the site in question.
    like- http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GBSA,GBSA:2006-09,GBSA:en&q=aroundtheblocks.com

    Got it now??

I was scammed on ebay too.. I paid using PayPal..
Once I figured it out.. I contacted paypal.. and theri resolution was "We can't do anything due to the fact that it was a virtual product."

    I lost $80, and Learned a lesson.

    Beware.. the domain was >>www.free-seeking.com<<

    Good luck.

I'm surprised about Paypal's response - I filed a claim with them when someone on these forums didn't send me the domains/sites I paid for, and Paypal managed to get a bit of money from them (I've still lost $100 though).
