Okay, I didn't know how to check if a Page Rank was real or not until I found this site: www. database-search.com/sys/pre-check-en.php.

Now I see what you mean. It is fake. Someone with enough posts should report him so that he gets dinged and can't make posts like this again.

Yep, I bought the domain last week after noticing it had close to 1700+ backlinks in Google, uploaded phplb and then began submitting to directories. I don't understand how that is possible that the homepage is showing a cache of another site while all the other pages: site:www.tictactester.com in Google, shows the correct cache. I honestly don't know how that's happened?

Not particularly, the links it shows in Yahoo aren't too bad, either. And the fact I'm submitting to more and more directories everyday, and the money I've generated so far has bought more directory submissions, hopefully the site will retain a good PR. I am aiming for PR3+ links only, so expect the PR to sit around that level, if not a bit higher. Considering I'm only charging $1, I've seen PR1 bid directories charging minimum $3 and people paying $30 to get on the homepage. Now that is stupid.

My zorg-links.com is PR0. Check out the homepage bids. they were done for promotional purposes, not PR chasing. thats CLEVER.

But how much traffic is that receiving? You know fine well PR != SERP rankings, but most others promoting their own website don't -hence why I doubt your directory would get a lot of one-off submissions, as they will see the PR and not bother. However, I do agree with you, I had heard of your directory before I joined DP - now that must be clever!

Yep, PR looks to be dropping, although now all the way down. My other directory has went from PR0 to PR3 - although I haven't promoted it at all, so I'm pretty happy with that. Maybe I should forget completely free listings on it now and move it to paid+free w/ reciprocal now. But, my biggest shock was the directory in my signature. Went from PR0 to PR6 - and it's only ~1 month old. Now, for that directory I'll wait til I see what PR the categories get then choose what do to!
