PR6 on Homepage or PR6 on Forums?

If you have a website with a homepage for ex. programmers and the homepage is basically navigation, header, and some news stories/articles related to developers what is better, to have a PR6 on the homepage or a PR6 on the forums?

 

Usualy you want homepage to have the best Pr. A link from homepage has more weight also.

 

Depends ... but normally Homepage will have a high page strength.

You can try checking the backlinks to both pages and make a direct comparison.

 

Well they don't have PR6 yet, what I am saying is, I am working to get a PR6 website, but thinking what will attract more people, PR6 Forum where they register to put sig links, post, etc. like DP, or PR6 Homepage?

 

Having a high PR is not going to attract more people. The general public could care less about a websites PR.

I would get PR6 for homepage, sell links and use earned money to bring new members to forum, not everyone who signups for forum thinks about sig links, besides you probably do not want users who signup for your forum only tu put sig links in their profiles and spam your forum right?

 

I would definitely say the homepage pr 6 is worth more money and is definitely a great selling point to sell links or to trade with quality sites. I would say trading with quality sites is a great way to attract new visitors as well as garner even more PR.

 

Homepage anyday. Forums have too many links going out..

 

Homepage links have more power than forum links. So it might be good that you concentrate mainly on developping your homepage PR and provide it with good content.
