I've received a PR6 Link to my site from a Drawing Site (and my site supplies drawing tips and tutorials). it was not an exchange, i am simply being linked to from this site.
will this give me a good PR boost next update? would it possibly get me a PR6? (i do have a few exchanges with PR5 sites - and I am PR3)

As long as the page doesn't have a "no-follow" tag, it should pass PR. The page can pass 85% of its PR, divided between the number of outgoing links on the page. Unless it is the only outgoing link on the page, you will not get a PR6 and then only if it is a high PR6 (which you can't tell) as PR is rounded, but can be 6.01 to 6.99. One 6.50 x 85% = would likely give you a PR5. If there are 10 outgoing links on the page, you would need 10 of those links to make it a PR5.

yes it will help you but getting PR6 is not that easy. It will take much more then just PR6 links..

Improve the overall content quality of your website and you will see your PR rise in the next PR update.

Keep linking with PR6 sites or higher and sooner or later you would have the same PR :D

Although the site linking to you is PR6, it does not necessarily mean the linking page is a PR6, unless of course you have already checked.

If you're referring to a gain in PageRank because of an increase in inbound links resulting from the addition to or improvement of existing content, then yes.

If you're suggesting that content quality is part of the PageRank equation and by improving your content your PageRank will increase, then no, you won't see an increse in PageRank.

usually you will get pr5. if you have a lot pr5 or at least 1 pr7 link to you, then you will have pr6 very easily.
