Exactly - which gets me to the question, does anyone get any real benefit from submitting to directories. I've yet to see any real benefit from submitting to directories.

What good does that do? You can accomplish the same result with building links, which you can do from directories...

Submitting to search engines does nothing a search engine automatically indexes your website when you have links pointing to it. Of course if you have your links on relevant websites then you will get better search engine results. Plus of course you have to have a good amount of links pointing to your website with the keyword text links you are going for, for your website. Also have good unique content on your website don't copy anyone and don't over do it with keywords on your site either.

There is no secrets i have been doing SEO for many years that's the only way to rank at the top.

Directories do help your search engine results but just don't focus on directories alone.
