    No, it is not listed in DMOZ. Until recently, the forum has been dead. I think the reason it has accumulated backlinks is because there is only one other big site on it's niche.

    2 months ago is when I put effort into getting people to use it. Thus the posting, adsense revenue, traffic, etc.

    Without letting us know the url of the site, it is not possible for anybody to make an accurate assessment. We really need to know how solid is the PR6 ranking, no. of members, how active is the forum, and the actual topic.

    If you would like a benchmark, there was a PR6 forum on 64 bit computing sold on sitepoint a few months ago for more than $1500. The forum had less than 100 members. That site must be very similar to yours.

    I also bought a PR6 site recently after a bidding war for $3550. It had no revenue at that time, and the hosting costs $20 per month. The main reason was that the backlinks were very solid and that it was a source of Google News. There are millions of websites around but only 4500 are sorces of Google News. Therefore it does have some residual value.

    How would you go about analyzing the backlinks to see if they are "solid" ?
