I guess it means 'strawberry cultivation' or something similar to that from what I could find out.

Fragaria is the scientific term for strawberry.

 

So I guess they had a redirect on that domain and finally just let it expire.

 

Jez, when I check the PR of other domains I regged today, the seologs tool does not give me any results. I even tried their current pagerank tool. The domains are:

achievingyourbestself.com
adventuresintheair.com

But when I check using the seochat or the iwebtool I see PR5 for both of them. Any idea of how this works?

achievingyourbestself.com is fake PR - it's showing when I query it

adventuresintheair.com I don't know, not showing anything.

It's done by 302 redirect from one domain to the other. PR reverts back to zero after expiry and next [EDIT] crawl (not PR Update as I previously said).

I wouldn't have know about it to check for but for a friend and business collegue just getting stung by this on Ebay and found the fake PR tool (she managed to get her money back).

Hope you haven't been stung too bad by what you have bought.

 

No I just lost 25 cents (Icann fee) on each. Just regged them earlier today and now I have deleted them

You can see what site was cached -- Its actually -http://www.complejocreativo.com/ whose cache is seen. That site is 6 PR and -http://www.fragariacultivos.com/ is just showing the 6 PR site to google..

 

I have been wondering how they do that - From here it seems PR fraud is almost the rule, not the exception when buying high ranked domains.

Another thing to do is check the Internet Archive (Way Back Machine). They are perhaps 6 months or a year behind so if the site has grown quickly it might not be listed, but if it has been around for a while it will be there.

They just set up a mirror site - Get this ---- it is in Alexandria, Egypt. It is part of the rebuilding the Library of Alexandria!
