    Pushing it to GoDaddy will cost an extra renewal fee of $10 by GoDaddy, I would suggest you to open a Dynadot.com account for free, so i can push it there.

    I will be honest, this is not a high quality PR6 Domain, it will last until the next pagerank update(not sure when it is going to happen, maybe in a couple of months) and if you build back links it can be a good domain name. But as is, i can not give you a guarantee that it will not lose it's pagerank with the next update.

    What sort of backlinks should I build? Will a Private Blog Network like Linkvana work? Also, what kind of content was on the domain originally? Should I add the same type of content so as not to lose the PR?

    I don't have much knowledge about Blog networks, but i guess that's what would help. The domain was used for news feeds in the past, but it is not necessery to have the same niche content.
