Well, it does provide a link to the right side of the listing. It says "Visit Website", however the link is not direct; it is redirected which gives no seo value.

 

Ah missed it. There are a lot of links on the page. I viewed page-source/etc. So yes an indirect link.

 

Only paid listings get direct links from the listing page and links from all pages of FWD.

 

Is the membership a one time fee or monthly/yearly subscription? Please clarify.

This is an untrue statement. Those links do provide seo value and you can get google backlinks from those kind of redirect links, Even though I am no longer listed on this site I do have some google backlinks that show up which point to index-it.net.

 

The paid membership is a monthly fee. Once subscribed, advertisers may cancel their paid membership whenever they want. Their listings are downgraded to "Free membership". If an advertiser wants his website to be totally removed from our directory, we respect his decision as well.

 

Considering your reviews here, I decided FWD to provide direct link (without redirection) under the free membership too. So, now it is more SEO friendly.

 

Ive signed up and submitted one site. Took me quite a while to submit it and insert a reciprocal so I will submit the rest of my sites later!

There is no problem, feel free to submit whenever you want. All listings are carefully analyzed before accepted or rejected within 24 hours.

 

The PageRank of FWD dropped from 6 to 5 but the number of visitors from Google has increased. Maybe there is a chemistry . Is there still a PR update?

 

Don't worry, many diirectories dropped from 7 to 6.
Manybe your directory will go back to PR6 after next update

 

I had built an account then must have left due to some reason as i never added any sites.... wait i know NOW! you wanted a reciprocal link so i guess its not free after all....
If you want a reciprocal link back i have no problem with that you submit to mine then ill be able to add mine to yours.

Hmm...who knows... maybe will be again PR6 but after opening this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=230628 and reading some opinions, it encouraged me to think quality is the most important indeed.

 

Submit to mine if you feel its worth it. Then I will submit to yours.

@earticles - you are completely WRONG. FREE is free. Reciprocal requires time and effort which cost money. There is TRUTH in advertising. When you advertise FREE is just that. Don't trick people into opening your post with misleading subjects. If you want a reciprocal - SAY SO!

 

Sir, I don't try to trick ANYBODY! If you consider reciprocal link is not free then, feel free NOT TO submit. Nobody forces you to do that. There are thousand other directories you may submit to.
