When posting your link on PR6-7 sites, does it matter how it is posted? Say I join the site and post it in my sig then make a comment on the site. Would this be affective?

    Thanks,
    GD

Depends on the Pr of the page that you are commenting on and Sigs do help in link building.

Sigs help a little, but not as much as anchortext surrounded by quality original content. Just make sure its do-follow and post wherever.

Yes, they help a little. But they need to be dofollow and relevance would help too

PR = Page Rank. NOT Site Rank. Multiple links from the same site make little sense unless they are specifically created as value to the visitor. And most 6-7 PR sites are smart enough to allow only links that create real value.

Internal pages in PR6-7+ site might have PR0 or n/a. So, check on the page's PR first to know what value of backlinks will you get. Also, you only get the value if it is dofollow attribute. Nofollow links will not help you in page rank or SERP.
