phpbbPC is a very popular advertising/promotion service forum where other forum administrators can make requests for graphics, phpbb mod installs, in depth forum reviews, support, and advertising places within the forum. This is fairly busy community that has many regular visitors. The forum uses a fake money system where the more members post, the more fake money they have in order to request these services. There is ZERO paid posters and fake registered members on the forum except for one test account I own.

Main page and forum design
The index and style of the PC forum was designed exclusive for PC and is not available to download. It was created by the almost famous Christian Bullock. The PC is 100% unique other than a few traces of the design looking like http://www.forumpromotion.net(also designed by Christian Bullock). On top of the excellent flawless design there are several unique mods only available in PC. One being the Premium Membership Layout, and a few secrets I'm only willing to share with serious buyers.

The blog has only been around for a few months. Much of the articles where transferred from the "Forum knowledge base" into the blog, but there are several articles that are unique. ALL of the articles I have written are unique and very high quality!

Responsibilities & Staff
PC does not run on its own. It needs the assistance of an administrator. There are several duties that you'll have to do as an administrator. If I were to rough it out I spend about 20 minutes doing misc stuff like ftping in the requests, answering staff questions, then make sure to post 10 to 20 times per day. There is a few days out of the month where I'll spend more time when something is due.
breakdown

• FOTM contest. On the 15th of every month you have to take the entries and make it a poll for people to vote until the end of the month. At the end of the month the winner must be awarded a metal(via their profile), and you must take a screen of the winners forum, and ftp it in so that they have their banner for the FOTM spot. • Monthly stats/goals/achievements report. At the end of the month I write about the previous month with stats, publish it in the staff section, and mass pm the staff. I have a template but that can take an hour of work sometimes when tracing through some of the stuff that has happened.
• I try to write two blog entries per month. An article takes me around 30minutes, so that's something that should be done minimum once a month.
• for the 4 ad services when people request one, I have to edit the file, ftp it back in, and record it in the calender.
• etc.

Needless to say, there is a little bit of stuff to do here and there and you should be posting here and there or the activity and morale will drop. Also upon purchase its not recommended that you do any major changes with the site. In the past I have found that people hate change. A few touches here and there is no big deal, but a massive design change will destroy the activity.

The Staff morale is not too bad. I've been blessed to be able to have long term volunteered staff who have taken care of the forum reviews, graphics request, and phpbb support/service forums for a longtime(over 1/2 a year). Still like all forum sales I cannot be sure if everyone will stay. I hope they all do.

My responsibilities:
-I will be staying as admin and doing the duties for 1 1/2 months or longer to show you the ropes, and I may stay longer if you don't mind. I really enjoy the place. I just am having great funding difficulties in my life and am forced to sell a lot of my personal belongings. Now I'm running out of dust collectors to sell at home so here I am.

Your responsibilities:
You must have experience into transferring sites. I can give you the full sql, files, and transfer the domain, but the sql is so large that you'll probably need to get support from your host as the limit is usually 50,000mb and PC's is larger than that.

Revenue:
There isn't much revenue to show you. adsense is converting horribly. I do get a premium membership purchase every 3wks or so at $20 a pop, but that's not much to say. Your best bet is to sell footer links on the main page. I opened a spot yesterday for them. Since PC is a PR5 you probably could get decent money for selling links.

How much money do you have to put into the site to maintain it? Will shared hosting suffice?

 

It all depends on where you host. I'm with gator shared and I paid about $90 for the year, but I have enough space for three of these forums probably and I have all of my other sites on it as well.

Other than hosting I don't put any money into it. The domain expires in two years so no need to pay for that renewal for awhile.

 

Has the forum made any money?

 

Its written in the main post that there isn't much to say.

I'm sold probably around 6 premium memberships in 6 months at $20, and about $60 worth of premium service requests. Adsense.....pfff, no more than $30 in the span of months. Adsense and forums never do well.

I'm sorry. I have made a major typo in the main article.

That is incorrect. The database is a little over 100mb but most sql imports have a limit for 50mb so you'll probably need host assistance to get it imported.
