That is strange, PR seems legit too. Perhaps it's a redirect or something from a domain that has high PR.

I checked on the PR site I use and it read just 128 Yahoo backlinks and 0 from Google. That's very good, he/she must have one or two real juicy links in there.:)

look at the domain history. it had previously search results back in 06 and 07, meaning it was registered before. It may have had a high pr before hand. i don't know how pagerank really works but that would be my best guestimate.

If you had strong backlinks from PR6+ means definitely you can achieve that.

This site doesn't seem to be getting any search results that I can see. What a shame. It just goes to show that you shouldn't focus so much on pagerank but instead focus on your search engine results. Toolbar PR doesn't necessarily mean you will rank high in search results. I've seen PR0 sites in the #1 spot. Google has an internal pagerank they use to compute search results. The little green toolbar is only for show.

My personal site had a PR3 when it was less than a month old and had no back links.Wait until after the next update and check it again. By the next update, after I had starting putting links on it, the PR fell to 2.

Just another reason I put no stock in PR.

my prediction is it was 301 redirected to a PR 5 site.. :) After a few days or weeks, it's PR will go down if it's redirected before. If the PR was from the number of dofollow links from several high PR websites, then its PR will never go down. :D
