PR5 DigitalPortrait.net Making $300+/mo. profit

Discussion in 'Sites' started by ColaDesigns, Dec 14, 2006.

Hello all, I'd like to sell my baby Digitalportrait.net due to time issues with college and jobs and homework.

    Here are the specs:

Domain name: DigitalPortrait.net, registered at 879domains.com until Nov 2008. PR5.

Traffic: Averaging 80+ uniques per day and 1000+ hits per day for the last 3 months. Traffic is from Search Engine and forums and very little adwords

Income: So far have made $250 this month and have had a couple months with around $400-$500. Money made through Clickbank.com

About the site: DigitalPortrait.net is a photo editing service which edits 10 photos for $29.95 or 25 photos for $49.95. Most sales are not affiliate sales so the owner would usually get 100% of the sale. It's a PR5, established since February 2006. I've never monetized the site through the use of banner ads or adsense or anything except sales. Also, should the buyer not know photoshop I will give detailed instruction on how to do the photo editing until they are capable. Also, anyone who can do it and has questions I can help with orders every now and then. Also, I'll give the details of my adword campaign which is doing very well to the buyer.

Price: Ideally I'd like to get around $3,000 as that is 10 months rev but being the nature of this site I will consider any bid over $1,000. The owner can EASILY make this money back in under 4 months.

*edit* I can come up with SS of adwords campaign and proof of rev for serious buyers

Can you send me proof of Traffic, Revenue, and the AdWords campaign please.

You state bid over $1,000, does that mean this is an auction or are you holding out for a BIN at $3,000? - Any further clarification you can provide on that would be great.

    Thanks :)

Why would the seller send you their adwords campaign - that would give all the info needed for someone to easily replicate what they are doing....

    Lovely site and great service.

How long does it take to adjust the 10 photos? I'm guessing well less than an hour for someone that knows what they are doing. Do you use Photoshop or something else?

The normal procedure is to block the keyword section of screenshots, thus eliminating the opportunity to copy people's campaigns. The real keywords being used are usually then given to the buyer of the site. (As has been stated in the sellers post)

If a lot of the sites sales depend on a variable - "the AdWords campaign" its in the interest of potential buyers to ensure that this campaign exists, if only by way of a snapshot. No offence to the seller either, but when comments like "The owner can EASILY make this money back in under 4 months" are banded around, the proof of this variable is even more important. (imo)

Thanks for the lesson though.. ;)

Ok, I will send SS of revenue and of my adwords campaign (not the keywords but the CTR and cost/conversion stats) to people via PM tonight.

Editing 10 photos takes around 20 mins usually. Orders usually consist of photo cropping, removing red eye, and occassionally removing distracting objects from photos

    Bid is at $1000

    BIN is set to $3500

Love the site design and idea. Maybe I missed this, but are there restrictions on what the customer can request? Like if they submit 25 pics, and want say three things corrected on each photo, is that really worth it for you? Maybe that just isn't the case...

Regardless, you must be a Photoshop Grand Master. :)

In general, the edits people want are very simple. I've had some difficult orders as well but much less. It's not really a loss to spend an hour or two on 25 photos for $50, which is the most I've ever spent on 25 photos. Remember, the buyer will receive instructions and help with photo editing.

adolix: the editing is done in photoshop

How much time do you spend a week on this? This looks interesting, but I'm not sure I could spend a lot of time managing the site.

    High bid is at $1300

I'm not going to call it a RESERVE per say, but i'd definitely be satisfied with $2000, anything lower I'll have to consider a while more.

Also, dont forget the buyer receives:
    -great, established PR5 domain
-hosting on server its currently on for 6 months
    -Clickbank account
    -Photoshop instruction/help as needed
-all banners on the affiliate page
-all the sites files, basically just everything you see
    -adwords campaign info
-the link to digitalportrait.net in my signature on this forum and a couple more that it's currently on as it's my baby and I will never take it away from my forum sigs

*edit* to aaronboy: I probably spend an hour a day with the site, checking emails and editing photos as the orders come in
