PR4 Soccer Site - 670+ Recurring Subscribers #2 in Google

    Hi there,

I run a PR4 soccer website based around the hot "live online football streams" niche. It currently ranks at #2 in Google for it's main search term and is top 10 for a number of others.

The website is approximately one year old and since being released from the Sandbox it is making sales consistently. At present there are 670+ active subscribers paying £3.95 per year to access the members area. The website originally sold subscriptions at £4.95 so there are still subscribers on the old tariff.

The site has recently been making approximately 100 sales per week and the future earning potential is enormous given the search engine position and sales from natural traffic. I haven't dabbled with Adsense because I didn't want to detract from the sales angle of the site but you could add it to monetise exiting visitors.

If you buy the website now you will cash in on the climax of the domestic football season and also be in a prime position to make money from the World Cup in June. The new season kicks off in August for another 10 months of non-stop profits.

I need to sell this website to raise money for a deposit on my first house, so I am looking for a good price and not necessarily give someone "a bargain" although you will be purchasing a ready-made business that football fans simply cannot get enough of.

I am looking for $20,000 (£11,000ish) as a realistic price. This equates to:

    1. 6 months earnings of new sales minus Paypal fees (I'm not being greedy and asking for 10 months plus as I need to sell)
    2. Subscription renewals from the existing subscribers for the next 12 months

I am happy to provide you with the url and screenshots of traffic, recent sales examples from the last weekend (22-23 April).

I am happy to take requests by PM but will hang back from an auction as I expect the website to be snapped up by a serious buyer.

There is room for some negotiation but I need the money as already stated so am looking to get what I believe this site to be worth.

I look forward to hearing from you. :)

I don't want to get into a big argument about whether or not this type of website is legitimate, ethical etc but it is important to bear in mind that you are perfectly entitled to run a website as long as it doesn't stream matches (which the one on sale doesn't) and does not promote Premiership games.

NetResult have not made one prosecution in the year or so they have been operating and I have never been contacted by them regarding the site for sale. At present nobody has the rights to broadcast live matches online so until proper legislation is put in place, make hay while the sun shines.

You just need to be careful of what you promote on the website so not to break any "dubious" copyright infringements.

Notice the touch of irony at the bottom of the Times news article. Guess which type of websites were advertised in the Google Adsense? ;) There is plenty of mileage in this industry yet.

I would expect anyone who is thinking of buying a site for this sort of price would already be aware of copywrite ect and the current state of things.
Dont bother trying to explain stuff welshbeef, its just some arse who thinks its big to point that link out.

Would anyone really buy a site for this price without doing there own homework, rosytoes go finish yours...

OK, it's getting late (for me, anyway ;) ) so I'll start the auction for this website with it provisionally ending at 10pm GMT Wednesday 26th.

If anyone wants the URL and webstats / earnings screenshots, please PM me but keep your bids to this thread.

I will of course keep it updated as we go along.

This is a magnificent money earner in a still quite unsaturated niche so please don't miss out.

    ===== AUCTION STARTS =====

    Starting Bid: $1,000
    BIN: $20,000

I dont see any difference between mentioning "copywrite" in lyrics sales threads and this one. As far as I'm concern, I merely pointed potential buyers to some related information and left any decision up to them. I thought Welshbeef did very well in his reply (don't mean to be patronising) without your help:) He managed not to make it personal and went on to assure his potential buyers of the value of the site.

    Keep expecting...

Since there have been no offers the auction has been closed. I'll list the website up for sale elsewhere aswell but will still entertain serious offers if anybody would like to make one.
