PR4, since 1997 - $0.99 + Premium - instant approval

This thread was first posted May 23rd, 2011. On June 27, 2011, the directory went up to PR4. Consequently, to prevent targetting by hackers and abusers, there no longer is a free option. Other than that, nothing much has changed.

i tried 3 sites and each one said

Site not found in Qirina, please submit to Qirina first.


there is no where to submit at that site!

 

Just please read what it says on the submissions page. The error message you got also had a link in it.

I'm puzzled why you would have trouble comprehending the error message. It seems pretty straightforward to me. What part of "Site not found in Qirina, please submit to Qirina first." did you not understand? Also which part of the following did you not understand?

Is Qirina your site? I tried to add, however, it says the site might be non-english. however, it is not.

 

Yeah, that happens when there is no natural language on the front page. For example, if all you have is a list of product names, you get that error.

 

That means I cannot submit any other domain even if it is written in English.

Well I attempted to get my 3DDatabase.com site on your directory but the Qirina keeps shutting my down. Something about possible adult content?
For the life of me I can not find what its spotting as adult content but then again, I do have something like 60+ pages.

Its a shame but thanks for putting it out there for people to use.

My apologies, back in March our filter was a bit overzealous. Your site got crawled before we adjusted it.

I refreshed 3ddatabase.com and it came out fine. Please try now, it'll go through instantly.

Submitted one of my sites and it was listed instantly! I tried another one, an article directory, but I was told that is was non-english. All of the articles in the site are in English I think. There are over 23,000 so there may be one. Thanks!!

 

Sorry about that... Our algo has trouble if there isn't much verbiage on the front. The front page (home page) is the only page we crawl. We don't crawl any other pages. We may start crawling every single page on the web but if we're going to do THAT we might as well start competing in search and I'm not ready for that yet.

I will work on the domain name level spam check this week end. That, unlike the content analysis engine, is still a little primitive. Will PM you when it's upgraded.
