I currently have an open dispute with him and also another user on this forum.

    Please see for sale thread:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2043196

    Notice seller: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=453699

    and Bidder: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=390466

Odd that the paths of 2 of my Seller disputes have crossed each other. In this case, one is the seller and the other is the bidder, and he is bidding up the price of the auction. If you check the second profile, the user has been banned most likely because they are the same person, or they have scammed other people.

I hope this furthers my case to show that someone has committed fraud. Also Godaddy removed all the domain names from my account that I bought from this seller and the seller still has my money.

This email is to confirm the recent change of registrant
    of the following domain name(s):

    DEAD-PROJECTIONIST.COM
    HERWALSAC.COM
    IMAGINEICANBE.COM

    INVERTED-COMA.COM

The change has been completed and the available information
has been recorded in our system.

GoDaddy.com, Inc. has determined that the registrant has provided
the necessary documentation to initiate a change of account. If for

    Thank you for sharing this.

I was scammed here in DP too, and i never got my money back.. I hope you get your money back..

Based on my experience and what I read from forums, some scammers sell domains that are stolen. They follow somewhat this kind of scheme:

Seller steals domains and sells them --> Buyer comes in and pays for the domains--> Original owner of domain complains--> Buyer lost both domains and money

    or this

Seller owns the domains and sells them --> Buyer pays--> Seller complains of unauthorized domain push/change of registrant --> Buyer lost domains and money

There are indeed too many scammers nowadays. If the domain price is too good to be true, then stay away from it, unless you truly trust the seller.Never pay using personal payments too unless you trust the seller.

FYI, the seller and me has exchanged messages because i wanted to buy some of his domains too, but he told me his paypal account has been limited so we cannot do the transaction and i will have to wait. No deal was ever completed.

Anyway, I hope things get resolved soon. Did you contact the seller about this? What was his response?

As far as I can tell, the scammer this time around didn't even bother to steal the domain. I registered the domain church-of-our-saviour.org over a decade ago, and it's my name in the whois information. I just double checked and it's still in my name, and obviously I wasn't the person who initiated this faux auction.

Things look sane at Godaddy, and I've just changed my password just in case the bad guy really had stolen my password and was going to try to transfer the domain.

In any case, for the record, church-of-our-saviour.org is in use by the Church of Our Saviour of East Arlington, Massachusetts, in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, and we have no plans to sell or transfer our domain any time in the near future. Any attempt to try to sell or transfer the domain is almost certainly fraudulent.

If someone really did bid on this auction, I hope they haven't sent their payment yet. And if someone is moderating this site, I hope they cancel the account of the person offerring the account. If someone would like to contact me using the contact information found in the WHOIS information listed for the church-of-our-saviour.org domain, I am happy to confirm that this sale/offerring is fradulent.
