Pr4, Pr5 ... etc

What exactly does this mean?

I am trying to learn all the terminology.

I often see people say there site is pr4 or pr3

I am assuming page rank.. how do you find this out though?

 

many places can tell you - http://www.google-pagerank.net put in the website url and it tells u

seologs.com checkpagerank.com -- iwebtool.com -- so many places, it goes from 1-10.

 

So if a site is at 0 how do you fix that? or does it slowly move up with more traffic?

 

Get more sites to link to your site to get higher rank. A link to your site from another site is like a vote for your site. This helps in rank and moves sites up. It takes alot of links to move sites to 4 or 5. Above page rank 5 it takes alot of high ranking sites linking to your site.

Yes that means Page Rank and 1 easy way to know wuts the pr of site is through Google Bar, if u have installed then there's an option which shows PR of every opened site automatically.
