So I have been sitting in a hole for years, trying to achieve page rank... and then I go to one of my sites that I havent worked on in about a year AND THE HOMEPAGE WASNT EVEN BEING DISPLAYED PROPERLY !

Yet it has a PR4 homepage with PR3 inner pages, PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW I ACCOMPLISHED THIS, thanks !

The site is only 8 pages, and has NO OUTSIDE BACKLINKS ... i dont get it ...

It would be very helpful to see the domain if you want someone to figure it out.

sounds like getting 4 million people to a city with no traffic connection

anyways maybe someone owned the domain before you got it and they did some seo for it?

That is not a bad surprise! Hopefully you can work on it, build it up, and then make some money off of it!

While it does suck that you've been working your tail off on your other sites, I think this is a good thing, if you look at all aspects of it. Throw some Adsense ads on there, make a couple of bucks, and you are golden!

You didn't. It's just a tool bar fluke. It's not your REAL PageRank. It will go back to zero on the next export. see my sig for more info

Domain age could also play the role. Also the site might be built it's own backlinks naturally, or it's backlinks before suddenly gain good PR which also passes the juice to this site.

Don't listen to the guys who say you need to post what you site is about... They are just trying to move into your niche... DO NOT POST anything related to your site, that may have a chance of giving the niche away!

There are many factors to be considered. One is the age of the domain. Second is there is a high PR website which is your link is posted.

I don't think it makes a difference. If you have a successful and well ranking site, your competitors know it anyway. If the ranking is so fragile that a competitor could easily outrank you in a month, it's not a successful site anyway.

Just like they said, domain age counts, but I do not think domain age can bring you pr4. High pr backlinks may be the important reason, well, you've said you had checked. So, the only reason left is Google has changed its count method, and lucky enough your web is, it gets pr4...

its not age, i have a 9 year old domain that has more back links and it is not even a PR2.

THERE ARE NO EXTERNAL LINKS TO THE SITE I AM REFERRING TO. Like there are not any backlinks... that is why i am really puzzled

and other then that it had fatal errors on the page so it only displayed its Title and everything else was a blank white screen except for 1 error... REALLY STRANGE

hey sorry i guess i kept scanning right over your post... but i have owned it for about 2.5 years now so i dont think it has to do with a previous owner... if there even was one : )
