Thanks for all your submissions - I'm getting through them. I've changed the submission options. Now you can either submit for free providing you link back to TWBDIR (you can link back from a different site if you like). I've also set up a introductory paid option. Please note this is a special offer and will be available for a limited time but once you have submitted with the paid option your listing will be grandfathered into the directory.

SPECIAL OFFER to DigitalPoint Memebers: If you add "saw you at DP" (or something to that effect) in your description then I will upgrade your paid submission to be listed as a 'Sponsered Site' which appears above all other types of listings. This is a thank you for the great support here. Please remember to reference the DP forums in your description info so I know to automatically upgrade once we process your paid submission (sorry not available to free submissions).

I'm not sure how long I can offer this as I will obviously have to limit the number of sponsered listings.

Sorry ADS, if I leave the free option available I get so many submissions so until it is more then just me managing the directory I have to limit a bit.

I see that it's a paid listing now. Either that or a reciprocal (No free listings). Or, am I doing something wrong?

 

Which script are you using? I recently built a directory (now PR5) and within 4 weeks received over 750 submissions. I wrote the approval page script so that once I log-in I can see all pending submissions on a single page. I get three links per submission (view site, approve and reject). I can then go through the listings quite quickly which is why I don't have webmasters waiting more than 12 - 24 hours.

I wanted to keep mine free for as long as possible (Still is free) and if you want to do the same, you might have to look at improving the way the site functions perhaps. This holds true not just for free listings but also for paid listings. If you start getting lots of paid listings, what will you do then?? You can't shut down the site due to being unable to approve listings fast enough, can you? Just my 2 cents worth.

Well no more free submission no more so i guess out of luck now, but if you like you can add mine and i will add yours to my site but i do not like reciprocal links.
